You need to try these great Indiana beers before they’re gone…

What happens when you hear a friend say “I just had a great beer?” If your into beer like I am, your question is where can I get one. Here are four beers you need to get before they are gone, and two that you’ll have to wait till next year to try.

Callisto from MashCraft is an apricot wheat wine made with barley, wheat, cascade hops, and apricots. Callisto is brewed twice a year. It is available in January and February  and will be again in July and August. Most of our Callisto in avaliable in taproom. It is rarely available at any of our partners in distribution. They have no plans to make this tasty treat year round. MashCraft says they like its placement in the calendar and exclusivity.

Hop Audit from Taxman is their experimental rotating Belgian IPA series that maintains a consistent grain bill and constantly evolving palette of hops. Basically each time they brew it, they’re  ”auditing” a new hop. The reason they decided to do this series is because of the inconsistency in availability of hops in the market and new hops continuing to enter the market. To date, they’ve  audited wai iti, hull melon and our newest release features German boutique Mandarina Bavaria hops, this time with 2x the hops as thier normal Hop Audit. This version of Hop Audit was released on February 1 and has been picked up by 22 accounts. They plan to release a new version of Hop Audit every couple of months; the next Hop Audit should hit the market mid-March.

While it won’t be a house beer, given that new hops are being introduced to the market every day, they intend to continue auditing hops for the foreseeable future. This project allows them to get up close and personal with the flavor profiles each hop  offers.. and well, it’s just fun!

Barn Yeti from 450 North Brewing Company is their Belgian Winter Stout. Barn Yeti will be around till Mid-March. Barn Yeti is currently available at Big Red Liquors and around 200 restaurants and bars around Indiana. They have no plans to make this beer year round, so you better get it before it’s gone.

Bier Brewery is on their last run of Coffee Dred Brown for the season. They won’t be making it again until it gets cold again. With the variety of biers we offer it is tough to say where all it has gone on
tap yet but is still out there and avaliable.

Frozen Assets is already sold out in both cans and draft. They sold out in 10 days of releasing it. Some did get picked up by liquor stores so you might just get lucky enough to find some. PICK IT UP IF YOU FIND IT! Frozen Assets is a seasonal release so it will be available again next January in both 12oz cans and on draft.

MashCraft’s The Deep Oatmeal Stout is also out for the season. The fellas at MashCraft did several versions of The Deep this year including vanilla, plum and peppermint. Definitely keep your eye out this fall for The Deep to return.
