Spring Has Sprung

Dear Friends,

As “Old Man Winter” does his very best to hold on and Spring keeps trying to push into Central Indiana, the event and fest “Season” is quickly approaching.  As the renewing warmth of the sun and the fresh shoots of green and color return, the number of upcoming warm weather opportunities increases exponentially! Soon the Beer Garden at the Fort Ben Triton Tasting Room and the deck at Triton Tap (Broad Ripple) will be open regularly and we will be sipping cold, frothy, malt beverages and enjoying the fact that we have put another winter behind us.

We participated in several events in March. Our Pi Day Celebration on Saturday the 14th included a whimsical tribute to the mathematical constant PI in the form of a pie throwing fundraiser for the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. Our fundraising efforts and additional contribution from the #PinkRibbonSaison charity fund allowed us to donate a little over 1,750 dollars.  We wanted to offer a special thank you, to all of you who came out and supported our fundraising efforts and offer you an additional opportunity to contribute. In honor of Race for the Cure on April 18th, $5 from the sale of every #PinkRibbonSaison t-shirt sold in the month of April will be donated to a cancer charity!

We have a couple of special promotions in the Fort Ben Tasting Room.  In honor of March Madness, now through April 6th, receive a free Fieldhouse Wheat Tap Magnet with the purchase of any growler fill (while supplies last). Additionally, each week we have one or two of our beers on special, $1.75 ½ pints, $3 pints, $5 ½ growlers and $8 growler fills.  Be sure to check out our current selections in What’s on Tap!

We appreciate you taking a moment to keep abreast of all the Triton News for April! Don’t forget to click on the links to follow us on social media.  Twitter and Facebook will keep you up to date with all of our food truck vendors, special and surprise tappings, and all things #BreweryLife.

Meet the #TritonCrew

Athena Scholl
Office Manager and Oracle of Obscurity

(1.)  What is your favorite Triton Gear to wear?
My custom made, grey zip up. It’s a two of a kind!

(2.)  Tell us about the craziest beer festival you’ve ever worked.
Craziest beer fest I’ve ever worked? The Zoo Brew at Mesker Park in Evansville last year. I was alone in the dark, in the pouring rain, surrounded by roaming peacocks.

(3.)  Using only the title of a song written before 1962, describe yourself.
“Let’s Get Lost” by Chet Baker because I believe life is an adventure.

(4.)  What is seasonal brew gets you the most pumped up every year?
Bee Java! I love coffee. I love beer. You do the math.

(5.)  What’s the coolest part of your job?
The people I work with. They make me laugh every day.

(6.)  If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life from one of our food trucks, what would it be?
Slider Station’s Triple. It’s an egg salad sandwich and it is amazing.

(7.)  What is your favorite color?
Black. It’s classic.

(8.)  When you grow up, what do you want to be?
I would love to travel the world.

(9.)  What is your favorite candy?
Um… Chocolate. Anything chocolate.

(10.) If you were a Hobbit what would your hobbit name be?
I wouldn’t be a Hobbit. I’d be a wood elf named Echo after a famous Greek Nymph.
