What is Nocino?
Nocino (pronounced no-CHEE-no) is our green walnut liqueur, made the traditional European way but with walnuts hand-harvested from our family’s trees here in Indiana. We haven’t produced Nocino the past couple of years because of low harvest from those trees, but this year we were able to pick a small batch.
How is it made?
We harvest walnuts while they are still green in mid-summer and then steep them through fall in our vodka along with spices and citrus.
How to drink it?
This wonderful fall spirit can be sipped neat, made into cocktails, poured over ice cream. Bring a bottle to Thanksgiving to share before or after the big meal.
