16 Jun New Beers and Concert Series at Great Crescent Brewery
Great Crescent Brewery is proud to be the first brewery to brew with locally grown and malted barley from Sugar Creek Malt Co. located in Lebanon, IN 40 miles North of Indianapolis, IN. Aurora Pale Ale will be brewed with 100% Sugar Creek Malt Co. 2-row malt and a blend of Aurora, Willamette and Southern Cross hops. Look for it on-draft at the taproom the second week of July. We don’t know of any other brewery to brew with locally grown malted barley – Cheers!
Cherry Ale in the French Farmhouse Style will be back in late July or early August. We can’t wait to have this one back on tap as it has been one of our most popular beers year after year.
Keeping it Local
Our Focus for 2105 and beyond is creating the best taproom experience for our customers and staying as close to the brewery as possible with distribution. We are taking a step back and making a commitment to stay true to our roots and reinforce why we started this journey – to craft the best beer possible and we are making that happen.
Pints and Pencils continues to be a terrific event each month and we have some great themes and volunteers keeping it moving forward. Blacklist from Lawrenceburg, IN was the featured theme with highly decorated skateboards and clothing Joe and his guys really brought it for the artists. The featured theme for July 2 is Vintage baseball with the Belle River team from Rising Sun. IN posing in their uniforms and showing us what their organization is all about.
We have been very pleased to support Dearborn Highlands Arts Council through the Music Sampler Series. The concert series resumes in September and is scheduled the third Tuesday of each month in the Great Crescent Brewery taproom. Tickets are available by calling them at 812-537-4251 – please help Support the Arts.
Comedy at the Taproom is continuing and we look forward to the show on July 3 - with a special thanks to Logan Cummins for producing this wonderful series here at Great Crescent Brewery.
