Indy beer talks — opening a craft brewery (event)

Last fall, they brought together a panel discussion focusing on the state of
craft beer in Indiana. Guests from the Brewers of Indiana Guild, local breweries and the media discussed topics of saturation, the growth that’s been seen in the last few years, and what it’s like to be a brewery in Indiana right now.

Well, they’re back at for the spring session, and this time the topic will center around the specifics of opening a craft brewery! They’ll be diving into the details of what it takes to go from concept to opening day, looking at location and equipment selection, build-out, promotion leading up to
opening, and financial requirements. If all goes to plan, there could be as many as a couple dozen new breweries opening in Indiana during the next year and we’re going to get the inside information on what goes into getting a brewery open.

The panel will talk for approximately 1 hour, followed by a brief question and answer period.

Panel guests include:
Andrew Castner and John Lee – MashCraft Brewing
Their south side location is actively under construction and should be open for business later this spring.
