20 May Indiana On Tap Kicks Off Tasting Society With A Bang
Well now. That was fun.
The May 15th kickoff of Indiana On Tap’s Tasting Society had all the makings of a great party: a perfect venue, thanks to the Speak Easy in Broad Ripple, great music provided by the Ukuwailers, killer food offerings from Caveman Truck (did any of you have the bacon hash? Christ), and the talented works of local RAW artist Andrea Dudgeon.
And, of course, tons and tons of cold, delicious, Indiana-made craft beer and wine. Hats off to you, Centerpoint Brewing, J&J Winery, Noble Order, and Scarlet Lane.
A special thank you to both Captured by CJ Photography as well as David Bixler for capturing the night’s festivities with their amazing photographs.
Combining the best elements of a beer festival and neighborhood block party, the Tasting Society kickoff allowed for attendees to mingle and chat with brewers without competing with 3,000 festivalgoers for their time and attention, while drinking and eating local to the tunes of local music. The party would have been right at home in a cul-de-sac, but we needed the space.
If you missed us this time, don’t worry – you’ll have a chance to join us again at the Speak Easy Friday, June 26th, where J&J Winery will be joined by Indianapolis’ Books & Brews and Bargersville’s Taxman Brewing Co. If that doesn’t get you excited, well, I will also be there.
Tickets are now on sale. Get them soon–we expect this event to sell out. http://www.indianaontap.com/tasting-society.html
