27 Nov Centerpoint Brewing Co. Announces Outdoor Winter Beer Festival to Celebrate 1-Year Anniversary on Feb. 17th
Centerpoint Brewing Co., in partnership with Indiana On Tap, is excited to introduce their inaugural “Frigid Digits” Winter Beer Fest on Feb. 17th, 2018, to celebrate the brewery’s 1 year anniversary. The event will take place from 1pm – 5pm.
This one-of-a-kind winter craft beer fest is boldly going where very few Indiana events have gone before in February…outdoors! The event will be held in the unique, partially-covered outdoor lot in front of Centerpoint Brewing Company at 1125 E. Brookside Ave. in Indianapolis.
The event will feature nearly 15 Indiana craft breweries and distilleries, along with local cider and mead to accompany the projected 75+ sample offerings. General Admission tickets will include unlimited samples from all participating vendors.
“We can think of no better way to mark our one year milestone than by having our friends in the industry who have helped us most along the way to also showcase their people and products alongside us at this event,” shared Centerpoint Co-Founder Jonathan Robinson. “We are thrilled to host so many that had some involvement in our progress ever since we first started dreaming about and planning what eventually developed into our brewery. We are also excited to partner with Indiana on Tap who invited us to our first ever beer event to serve our homebrew nearly three years ago. They have been instrumental in helping us develop our brand through special events and other partnerships, and we look forward to working with them on this event and in the future,” added Robinson.
Music from one of Indy’s favorite DJ’s will complement the event and food from some of Indy’s best food trucks will be on hand and available for purchase to greet hungry attendees. All attendees will also be allowed access into Centerpoint’s brewery during the event for additional beers, seating, tours, and warmer temperatures.
Raffles, games and other cold-weather entertainment surprises will also take place.
Centerpoint will be releasing three specialty, wood-aged beers at the event.
- A bourbon-barrel that held 8th Day Distilling Rum for a year, then filled with Centerpoint Black. Release #1 of The 8th Point Collaboration Series.
- A New Medium Char American Oak Barrel filled with Centerpoint White. Release #2 of The 8th Point Collaboration Series.
- Centerpoint/Black Circle Brewing – English Barley Wine Collaboration – Aged on Medium French Oak Chips.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Centerpoint Brewing to help them plan, market and manage this anniversary event,” noted Indiana On Tap founder, Justin Knepp. “We believe in their beer, we believe in their people, and we intend to help them create an exceptional event to celebrate both of those things,” he added.
‘Early Bird’ tickets are now available for purchase online. Tickets purchased before January 1st cost just $25. Online tickets purchased between January 1st and February 17th will cost $30. Any tickets still available on Feb. 17th will be sold at the gate on the day of the event for $35. Designated Driver tickets can be purchased for $10 and will be available to purchase at any time for that price.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to a local charity, which will be announced soon.
All attendees must be 21 years or older to attend the event—this includes designated drivers. Attendees must show a valid photo I.D. at the gate. All ticket sales are final. No exceptions.
Parking will be easy and plentiful with a large lot less than a block from the brewery.
