MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) – Expect to find more than books at the Monticello-Union Township Public Library the weekend of July 26-27. The library will be hosting the seventh annual Broadway Art Show where the public will be able to view and purchase a variety of artwork.

“We have over 60 artists in lots of different medias [such as] jewelery, painting, photography,” endowment and art show committee member Ruth Davis said during an appearance on News 18 This Morning.

New this year is the Art & Ale Biergarten. Sean Manahan of Flat 12 Bierwerks explained, “We’re bringing six different breweries’ beers for people to sample. We’re also inviting the artists from these breweries that do the label artwork to come display their independent art.”

Admission to the Biergarten is $12 at the door. That price comes with two drink tickets and while supplies last, a commemorative glass. There is no cost to enter the art show.

The Broadway Art Show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. There will also be a special sponsors only date on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The library is located at 321 West Broadway in Monticello.
