Beers to Drink During a Netflix Binge Night

I am indeed a product of the 21st century. Netflix binging has officially become a “hobby” within these times. After a long day of running around doing whatever, the best feeling in the world is to sit on the couch and veg out. This is also the time most people partake in their evening beverage, so here are some craft beer options for your next TV bender:

Session Ales: These beers were specifically formulated for binge drinking. The lower alcohol content allows you to have multiple beers without compromising flavor and taste. Some of my favorites: Yum Yum by Three Floyds, Campside Session IPA by Upland, and Backcountry Session IPA by Bloomington Brewing Company.

Wheat/Goldens: These typically have a lower alcohol content as well; perfect for ensuring that you can marathon as well as not have to get up off the couch to pee too many times. Some of my favorites: Hometown Hero by Triton, Nap in the Hammock by Metazoa, and CAMMIT by Pokro Brewing.

Stouts: Moving to the dark side, these are beers I typically sip on rather than guzzle. These are some of my favorite after dinner desserts that go perfectly with many onscreen programs: Mint Microchip Chocolate Stout by Tin Man, Lacto-matic Milk Stout by Flat 12, and Jolly Old by Two Deep Brewing.

These are just general choices, of course. If you are feeling fancy you could try and tailor your beverage to the show. A beer from Daredevil Brewing while watching Daredevil, a blood orange wheat with Orange is the New Black, or a classy barleywine while watching Downton Abbey might do the trick.

What are some of your favorite couch-side beverages?

Cheers,
Traxler
