Big News for the Week:
Bookstore Events are Coming Back!
We’ve hired two new booksellers – Dwana and Lindsey – who will be taking on the task of whipping our bookstore into shape! Starting at the end of this week, we will be working on getting the books back in categories (and alphabetical order) but most importantly we are going to start planning more book-related events. Make sure to say hi to Dwana and Lindsey if you see them this week and welcome them to the b&b family!
Children’s Story Time
We had Children’s Story Time during the afternoon when we first opened, but we shelved the project to allocate our resources toward nighttime staffing. Now that we have our feet under us, I’m determined to continue to cater to the daytime/afternoon crowd and families. We will bring back our staff-led hour-long story time in a couple weeks – once or twice a week to start around 3-4pm. Have suggestions on times/days of the week that would work best for you? Nancy Brew and the Hoppy Boys Record-Setting Brew Returns!
Nancy Brew and the Hoppy Boys, our trivia-winner named Citra Pale Ale, sold over 35 gallons of beer in 3 days. We have a double batch currently in the fermenter with even more citra hops dry-hopping the delicious golden nectar. We plan to keg it on Tuesday or Wednesday, expect it to be back on draft by Friday.

- Open Mic (7pm-10pm): Last week we had two comedians, three guitar players, a ukulele, and a partridge in a pear tree! Open Mic so awesome. Holy cow, I love it.

- Tapping Event - Nineteen Eighty Quad (Belgian Quadrupel): Warm. Sweet. Spicy. Hints of rum and raisins. We had to push this brew back a week to give it more time to ferment and the extra time has paid off. You’re gonna dig it.
- 5-gallon Friday: Belgian Quad w/ Raisins - With an already strong rum-raisin flavor, why not toss in a heaping bag of raisins straight into a keg? Every pint pulled off this 5-gallon Friday will be drawn straight through the raisins.
Saturday 1/31

- Kids Eat Free - kids eat free every Sunday! Buy an adult sandwich, get a kid’s sandwich free of charge.

Epoch Finds & Furnishings Truck Show + Ukuwailers February 7th
Mark your calendars now! Epoch Finds & Furnishings will be hosting a trunk show at Books & Brews new private party area on February 7th from 1pm-5pm. They find and refurbish antique items (pic below). Following the trunk show, the Ukuwailers will be rocking the mic with 90s hip-hop cover tunes on the ukulele from 8pm-10pm.
