McCordsville/Peru Indiana – Scarlet Lane Brewing Company (McCordsville) and McClure’s Orchard (Peru) have teamed together for the release of Katrina McClure – Apple Pie Bier. Taking the popular recipe of Katrina Fall Beer from Scarlet Lane Brewing, McClure’s Orchard designed and created an apple-pie-like recipe to be married with the Katrina recipe.
“We had to delay our original launch of the beer in order to better nail down the apple and apple cider recipe additions.” –Eilise Lane, CEO/Brewer “But we remained committed to this idea and felt we had something fun and different to launch for the fall”.
Katrina McClure takes the Katrina spicy cinnamon and brown sugar recipe and enhances the profile with the addition of locally grown McClure’s Orchard apples and proprietary non-alcoholic apple cider recipe creating a distinctive Fall Beer. Katrina McClure will resemble a homemade apple pie with flavors of tart apple, cinnamon spice, brown sugar and a crisp finish.
“We kept this launch and idea close to the chest until we were comfortable that it would work out. We are very happy with how we developed the beer and will use the feedback from our customers to determine if this will be the new Katrina recipe moving forward or if we will stagger both styles during the Fall and Winter.” – Eilise Lane, CEO/Brewer

Katrina McClure will launch the beginning of October and will be available throughout Scarlet Lane Brewing’s distribution network and at the brewery Tap House. The Tap House is open Tuesday – Thursday from 3PM to 8PM and Friday-Sunday from 1PM to 8PM.
McClure’s Orchard also produces a portfolio of hard cider for the Indianapolis market through a distribution agreement with Zink Distributing. The public can visit the orchard and winery in Peru, IN 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm during the fall season.
