For Immediate Release
Upland Brewing Co. announced today that Barrel Chested Barleywine will be available in both 4 packs and on draught in early November. It will be on draught in all Upland brewpubs and tasting rooms by November 20th

Beer Description
This complex strong ale pours a beautiful deep copper with hues of bright mahogany and a creamy tan head. The essence of rich caramel, biscuit, toffee, and fig are coalesced during a long maturation period in oak barrels previously used by the Willett Distilling Company which arrive at the brewery still dripping with bourbon (which our brewers didn’t let go to waste). Over time, these barrels add their own flavor contributions of vanilla, toasted oak, and sweet bourbon undertones. At 9.5% ABV, this beer is a gentle giant with a seductive sweetness and intriguing complexity.

About the Brewery:  The name Upland derives from the term geologists gave to the hilly region surrounding Bloomington, Indiana, which was never overrun by the glaciers that flattened much of Indiana’s landscape. The adversity of the geography bred independent thinkers who had strong wills, a connection to the land, and a wry sense of humor about life. The brewery’s mission of “making remarkable beers in remarkable ways” honors the spirit of these people and this place. Upland brews over 50 different styles of beer annually.  For information about brewery tours and our brewpubs, please visit: www.uplandbeer.com.
