Sunlight Cream ale — always smooth, but where’s the cream?

I had a Sunlight Cream Ale from Sun King Brewery last night.  It was the first time I’ve had their cream ale in several months and I had forgotten what a smooth, crisp and easy-drinking beer that it is.  The subtle malt and hop flavor always keeps this beer interesting for me.  If you’ve never had it, don’t let the name fool you.  It doesn’t actually include any ‘cream.’  The term is really
more of a description of it’s smoothness–which I recently learned originates from the lagering period.  In the end, this is really what I would consider an ‘everyday’ beer.  It’s great to have available for those friends or guests who are intimidated by more complex beers, but are willing to try something light.

Check out our Sun King page to learn more about their other beers and their retail and tasting hours!
