15 Sep Quaff ON! Brewing To Tap Aquaffalypse Beer At Quafftoberfest This Weekend
The Aquaffalypse is coming, and Brown County’s Quaff ON! Brewing is ushering it in with a shower of hopfire and brewstone.
“Aquaffalypse” is the latest creation from brewers Mark Havens and David Watkins – a 90-minute IPA set to debut Friday, Sept. 19 at Quaffoberfest, Quaff ON!’s annual craft beer and music festival.
This year’s event coincides with the kickoff of Oktoberfest in Germany, sharing a healthy appreciation of well-made beer and community spirit.
Quafftoberfest is also a celebration of the harvest season, arriving on the shoulders of a hops-clad nymph bathed in the light of the harvest moon. “Aquaffalypse” also embraces the theme, having been dry-hopped with Brown County-grown Cascade hops from Waltz Valley Farms. Watkins participated in their harvest earlier this month and brought the bounty back to Quaff ON! headquarters especially for this beer.
Quafftoberfest will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20, at the historic Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground in Bean Blossom Indiana. VIP, one- and two-day tickets are available.
Music starts at 3 p.m. Friday, with a special VIP event sponsored by Big Red Liquors from 6-9 p.m. Acts include New Old Cavalry, Jeremiah Cosner and the Concrete Sailors, The White Lightning Boys, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and more. For a full music line-up, visit http://www.quafftoberfest.com/the-music.html.
On-site camping is available, both primitive and water/electric hookup. Food vendors will be on site. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating in the outdoor amphitheatre. Shows go on rain or shine.

“90 minute IPA” is a registered trademark of dogfish head brewing. It refers to an imperial ipa that is continuously hopped. Also…continous hopping is a patented process.
So which is it? A 90 minute imperial knockoff or a regular ipa that doesn’t make sense?
