Great Crescent Brewing Announces Spring Beer Releases

We have been brewing, brewing, brewing…all the tap lines in the taproom are flowing fresh, hand-crafted beer and soda. The latest beers on-tap include our IPA Series featuring 4 different IPA’s including Willamette/Perle, Falconers Flight 7 C’s, Mosaic and Citra. All dry-hopping was done in the kegs so the attributes of each hop are showcased right up front.

We also got to work getting Coconut Porter back in the lineup and while we were at it, crafted a Chocolate Porter using Organic Cocoa nibs. Coming soon will be a Maple Porter and Blueberry Blonde. The Maple Porter was conditioned using 100% maple syrup and fresh blueberries are used in the Blonde Ale. Look for these to come on tap in the next several weeks. Cherry Ale will be back this year if the cherry harvest cooperates – since we use real cherries we depend on the harvest, so we’ll be watching this closely.

Our Future

Our Focus for 2105 and beyond is creating the best taproom experience for our customers and staying as close to the brewery as possible with distribution. We are taking a step back and making a commitment to stay true to our roots and reinforce why we started this journey – to craft the best beer possible. We have over 25 different and unique beers planned for 2015 – so stay tuned.

Pints and Pencils continues to be a terrific event each month and we have some great themes and volunteers keeping it moving forward. April will feature artist Cindy Crofoot for Flora – Goddess of Spring and our friends at Weber Sports in Aurora will be the focus of the May event with bicycles and getting outdoors being the focus. The theme for June hasn’t been firmed up yet but we have a couple of options that we know you will like.

We have been very pleased to support Dearborn Highlands Arts Council through the Music Sampler Series. There is a concert scheduled the third Tuesday of each month in the Great Crescent Brewery taproom and tickets are available by calling them at 812-537-4251 – please help Support the Arts. The next concert features Rock and Blues April 21, the taproom opens at 5pm for food service before the concert.

Comedy at the Taproom is continuing and we look forward to the show on April 4 - with a special thanks to Logan Cummins for producing this wonderful series here at Great Crescent Brewery.
