01 Sep Crown Brewing To Release Ignis Fatuus Pumpkin Ale and Host Pumpkin Fest

Medieval Latin for “foolish fire,” Ignis Fatuus is a lesser known version of the will-o-the-wisp, the eerie light seen in woods over marshy areas. Better known to us, the Ignis Fatuus Pumpkin Ale from Crown Brewing in Crown Point will be released at at the taproom from September 3-September 5. The first two days (Sept. 3-4) the 12 oz. cans will be available to the 22oz. club members only, and will be available to the general public starting on the 5th.
This is a pure pumpkin beer. Crown describes it as follows, “As the summer winds down and the leaves start to fall, one must know what else lies around the corner. It is time for pumpkin everything…..and beer is no exception. Pumpkin pie in a glass is the best way to describe it.”
The 22 oz. club members can kill two birds with one stone on the can release days by picking up their free tickets to the Pumpkin Fest, to be held at the Lake Cty. Fairgrounds Shelter4/5 on September 29th from 5-9pm. Everyone else can get tickets here for $10, still a good price. The Pumpkin Fest is a family friendly event with food vendors, live music and activities for the kids.
