01 Apr Chasing the Devil Post-Pandemic Beer Festival Coming to St. Benedict’s Brew Works in Ferdinand June 11-12

St. Benedict’s Brew Works, located on the grounds of one of the Midwest’s most beautiful monasteries, will host a major post-pandemic beer festival June 11-12 that will celebrate the nation’s journey through the Covid 19 pandemic with great beer, food and music. The festival keeps alive a centuries old tradition of celebrating and giving thanks to God for surviving a pandemic.
The brewery will host the beer fest, which will offer 100-plus beers from across the Midwest and Europe. Tickets are now on sale for the event, which will begin with local beer tasting from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 11, in St. Meinrad, Ind. The evening tasting at the St. Meinrad Community Center will feature unlimited tasting of local beers from southern Indiana breweries. There will be food, live music with Studebaker, a popular local rock band. St. Meinrad is home to Saint Meinrad Archabbey, a community of Benedictine monks. The monastery gift shop will be open that evening and guests are invited to explore the monastery’s grounds. St. Meinrad is only 4 miles from Ferdinand.
Saturday’s Chasing the Devil Festival at St. Benedict’s Brew Works in Ferdinand will run from 2 to 6 p.m. with unlimited beer tasting, food trucks and music. There will be shuttles from the brewery to local hotels and campgrounds. Saturday events will include monastery tours. The Sisters gift shop, For Heaven’s Sake, will also be open during the day.
Tickets for Chasing the Devil are available for purchase online at https://event.ontaptickets.com/events/chasing-the-devil-beer-fest-6-11-2021. Tickets for Friday’s tasting and music are $25. Saturday’s tickets are $75. For a limited time, a combination ticket for Friday and Saturday events is available for $80 per person. Each Saturday ticket includes a commemorative tasting glass, a gift bag featuring gift items and three St. Benedict’s Brew Works bombers. Brews available during the weekend will include a special release Regum Angelorum Barrel Aged Stout, Nun’s Dragon Imperial Stout, Dark Souls Belgian Quad, All Saints Tripel, Cicada Summer Saison and others.
