As a business, you can’t rest on your laurels, and creating new product lines is one of many ways to add new customers. GrinOn Industries, the creators of the Bottoms Up Draft Beer Dispenser, have done just that with the recent addition of glassware to their product list.

If you’ve witnessed the Bottoms Up Beer dispenser in action, then you know how ingenious the unit truly is. It’s a system that not only fills your cup quicker than a traditional tap (nine times faster, according to their website), but it also keeps foam levels to the desired amount, meaning less wasted beer.

The dispenser makes an appearance throughout the world, and tends to pop-up more at events housing large crowds, like concerts, beer fests and sporting events. But GrinOn also wanted to penetrate the restaurant industry, including bars and breweries, yet they needed to provide a reusable vessel for those businesses. The disposable, one-time use plastic cups are perfect for events, but the use of a disposable cup in many environments is prohibitive.

GrinOn’s Director of Sales and Marketing Kyle Johnson acknowledged the one-use cups were not a fit for some of their clients, referring to restaurants and bars, and the glassware was a better fit.

“The introduction of the product to the market was very recent, but in that time we have absolutely seen a rise in the number of all three market segments buying the system,” said Johnson.

Glassware isn’t a new idea for GrinOn. Johnson mentioned it took around two years for the cup to go from idea to reality. “From inception to testing, was at least a year,” said Johnson. GrinOn has been testing and receiving feedback on the new glassware for the past six months.

“People love it!”, Johnson told me. “They mostly just want more.”

When asked what the biggest challenge was that GrinOn faced when creating the glass cup, Johnson told me it was making the magnetic ring easily replaceable. He mentioned GrinOn thought about the way servers toss silverware into cups when bussing table and how that would damage the magnetic ring over time. Being able to replace the ring, instead of the whole glass was an important feature to keep the customer happy.

The glassware is now available for purchase and you don’t have to be a business owner to purchase the new glasses, nor the dispenser, as GrinOn sells home units as well. For more pricing information you can contact GrinOn via their website.
