03 Sep Bier Brewery Pumpkin Ale Release Party Is Set For September 15th
Indianapolis, IN – The grounds of Bier Brewery on the northeast side of Indianapolis will be turned into a wonderland of autumn colors and smells as their Pumpkin Ale Release party returns on September 15 from 6-10 pm.
This year’s Pumpkin Ale, an Oktoberfest base beer with forty pounds of pumpkin and a slew of spices added, tastes like liquid pumpkin pie and easy drinking at 5.5% ABV. This extraordinary ale will be accompanied by hay bales around fire pits, orange and yellow mums on tables, s’mores creation and demolition, and multiple local bands as the evening sun sets and the woody smoke reminds us of our favorite Fall evenings.
The Pumpkin Ale from Bier has been ranked #16 from the top 50 pumpkin beers in the country (Beer Advocate, 2013). Consequently, from the moment Bier Brewery opens at 1 pm on Friday, Sept. 15, no fewer than four taps inside will be dedicated to pouring the Pumpkin Ale. In addition to this popular concoction, other beers on tap will include the Belgian Imperial Stout called Belgian Billy Baroo, Belgian Dubbel, Dankzilla Red IPA, DFG Double IPA, ESB, Marzen, and Hoppenschlaggen, a hoppy lager.
Starting at 6 pm, the music will be rocking until closing time with three different acts. Chris Oaks will start the evening off from 6-6:45 with his acoustic guitar. Jessie Phelps will take the stage next (7-7:45) with her singer/songwriter stylings, and Whoa! Tiger will rock us from 8-10 for original contemporary rock with an old soul. Movable Feast and Alley’s Alehouse will be on hand all evening to satisfy your appetite beyond s’mores.
The Pumpkin Ale Release Party is a free event, with pints of Bier craftsmanship available for $5. This is a 21+ event and will take place rain or shine. Don’t miss one of the Bier folks’ favorite events of the year!
