07 Oct Beards and Brews
The Beards & Brews Championship will heat up a battle of beards in downtown Noblesville on November 1st, many representing local Central Indiana breweries.
Barley Island, Grand Junction Brewing Company, Fountain Square Brewing, Triton Brewing, Three Wise Men Brewery and Sun King Brewing will all be on site selling craft beers from noon to 4 p.m at the 8th and Maple Ave. parking lot.
Each of these participating breweries will invite interested contenders to participate in their qualifying contest, naming a bearded representative in the following categories: Best of Show, Longest Beard, Thickest Beard and Most Creatively Groomed Beard.
Those in event attendance will also experience music from DJ Helicon, hourly demonstrations by the Circle City Roller Derby Girls and boutique shopping straight from the Retro 101 fashion bus. Nickel Plate Arts will also be on site integrating unique and engaging experiences from a beard-making table to special local artist exhibits.
Prior to the November 1 championship, five Central Indiana brewing companies will host a preliminary beard contest at their brewery.
The Beards & Brews Championship is open to the public, those 21 years and older. Tickets are available at the event for just $5 per person to attend, with a portion of proceeds being donated to Movember Indy in honor of November and its efforts to bring awareness of cancers affecting men. There is no fee to enter your beard in the “walk up” community category.
