09 Apr Bad Dad Brewing Supports Fairmount with First Annual Spring Food Drive
Bad Dad Brewing in Fairmount has taken on a worthy cause for the month of April. This makes Bad Dad a fun visit, even beyond the regular beer and pizza. They have started the first annual Bad Dad Brewing food drive, benefiting the Fairmount Food Pantry.
Patrick Howard of Bad Dad explained that this food drive is just a bit different. He said, “Most food drives happen in the fall or winter, but they are necessary year-round for those people in need.” By holding the food drive now, they serve a community need, and also draw attention to the need for food donations in the spring and summer.
Donations of non-perishable foods can be made whenever the brewpub is open, Wednesdays through Sundays. There will be a designated area to place donations, but if you have 10 donation items or more at one time, make sure to see a bartender. That way, you can be entered in the drawing for a $25 gift card. Drink good, eat good, do good, and perhaps win something good.
Patrick stated, “We have been so blessed this past year and have made it our goal to give back to our community. We hope that our customers will join us in supporting this town and community that we all love.”
See the photo with this story for a great list of ideas for non-perishable food items to donate. Bad Dad has grown quite a bit in the last year and has expanded their reach immensely through distribution. It’s nice to see that they have maintained their connection to Fairmount and take their role as a leading business seriously. It’s always a good idea to make the trip to Fairmount for Bad Dad, but it’s an even better idea this month.
