23 Feb 2106 Dopplebock is on at Great Crescent Brewery
The 2106 Doppelbock is on Tap!
We were seeking to craft a true German Style Doppelbock and the recipe would be crucial to success, so we contacted a source we knew could help us with our mission. We use Weyermann Malt in our Harmonie Bier Dark Lager, so we started there. The recipe for our 2016 Doppelbock is from the Brewmaster at Weyermann Malting Co. in Bamburg, Germany. This brew is rich, malty and delicious. We used German Perle and Hebrucker hops to finish it off and it turned out great. Stop by the brewery to enjoy a pint or two with your meal and get a 32 oz Round to-go, because you’ll want some at home too.

Cincinnati Pale Ale is coming up next
Cincinnati Pale Ale is the top points winner from our Fall homebrew competition; Aurora – Dearborn County Brewoff. The beer was created by local home brewer David Mangels who is also a member of the Cincinnati home brew club Cincinnati Malt Infusers. The beer is an American Pale Ale style using some rye malt in the recipe and it’s hopped with Chinook, Citra and Cascade hops with a generous dry hopping with Citra and Cascade. Look for this one to hit the taps March 4.
