Just weeks after Ballast Point announced it will begin distributing its popular beers throughout Indiana, Shorts Brewing (Bellaire, MI) announced that it too will begin distributing to both Indiana and Ohio through Cavalier Distributing.

Shorts Brewing, known for its popular Huma Lupa Luscious IPA, Space Rock gluten-free APA, and a handful of other experimental brews, was founded in 2002 by Joe Short, and since then their beers have made their way to the Hoosier and Buckeye states by vacationing craft beer fans. The distribution routes will change all of that, as craft beer fans in Indiana will now be able to find their favorite Shorts beers in stores near them.

“Cavalier Distributing is excited to bring Short’s into Ohio and Indiana and help people catch up with their fantastic beers from Michigan,” said Cavalier Founder/President George Fisher in a press release on the distribution company’s website.

This is great news for fans of Michigan beer, but also a testament to the state of Indiana that people here know and appreciate exceptional craft beer. That the big names in craft brewing are beginning to bring their beers to our state shows that Indiana is a viable market for craft beer, and surely more breweries will begin to take notice.

Shorts will be teaming up with Cavalier to host a series of events around the state the week of April 4th to kick off the new distribution. Keep checking IndianaOnTap.com for times and dates near you.
