The midwest has been gifted with a great new torch-bearer of Southern rock blues in Jeremiah Johnson. Born and raised in St. Louis, Johnson has a rich blues heritage that runs as deep as the Mississippi. He picked up the guitar at the age of six, and after spending 10 years as a young man in Texas, has came home to roost with a bit of that desert grit on his fingers, hot sauce on his breath, and a working man’s aesthetic — all of which carry through to his songwriting and performance.
