The Indiana On Tap Tasting Society is a group of Indiana craft beer lovers who convene regularly to enjoy unique Indiana craft beer, art, music and more. No two monthly events are the same.
The goal of these events is to showcase our state’s fine breweries and beers by bringing something special and different to each event. These events are intimate–it isn’t a festival. Attendees will have a one-on-one opportunity to talk to the brewers and/or owners to really get to know them (and their beers) better.
The March Tasting Society event will be held on Friday, March 23rd and is going to be one of our best ones ever! For this event, we’ll be featuring 3 amazing Indiana breweries and a one of the state’s most talked-about craft distilleries.
The first is Goshen Brewing Co. of Goshen, IN. Jesse and Amanda Sensenig are the founders of Goshen Brewing. Their passion for beer, food and community was developed while living in Charleston, SC, and then in Fort Collins, CO. At the time, Fort Collins was home to the most breweries per capita in the U.S., and as responsible citizens they checked them all out. Inspired by the quality and the range of beer styles available, Jesse began brewing and meticulously developing recipes. Both graduated from Goshen College and they believed it was the perfect place to open the brewery and carry out their vision!
We’ll also be featuring Backstep Brewing Co. of Crawfordsville! Their new brewery was opened in the bottom floor of the historic and renovated Monon Hotel–a building etched with so much great history, which they intend to add to. Backstep Brewing was started by 2 dedicated, local firemen with a great passion for great craft beer.
We’re equally excited to be featuring Rock Bottom Brewery of Indianapolis. When you think of Rock Bottom, it’s hard not to think of all the great brewers it’s produced across Indiana over the years. It’s also hard not to immediately think of current head brewer, Jason Cook, who has produced so many amazing beers and received so much critical acclaim. If you think Rock Bottom isn’t creating fascinating and unique beers, then you’re mistaken. We look forward to featuring some of Jason’s amazing creations at this event for you to try!
Last, but certainly not least, we’re excited to feature one of Indiana’s most talked about craft distilleries, Cardinal Spirits of Bloomington! The founders of Cardinal Spirits started the company because of a shared passion for craft spirits and American manufacturing. Since their opening in February 2015, they’ve distilled 12 different spirits and over 4,000 cases…more than any other craft distillery in Indiana during that time frame. They’re excited to introduce some of their favorite spirits to attendees at this event!
Our featured musical guest will be Indy-favorite DJ 3pm. Originally hailing from South Bend, DJ 3pm is an open format party rock DJ. His mixes will take you on a musical adventure spanning multiple genres and several decades. From John Lennon to Lil John and everything in between, his sets will include songs that you like, songs that you love, and songs you’ve never heard before.
For you food-lovers, get excited! The 5280 Bistro Food Truck and their amazingly diverse and gourmet menu will be serving any hungry attendees.
Tickets are again available for only $12.50 (plus processing fees) per person. Tickets at the door for this event will cost $20 if any tickets are still available. Upon entry, each attendee will receive 12 tickets, each good for a 3oz. tasting pour from any of the breweries or a smaller, sample-sized pour of spirits. Or, four tickets will get you a 12oz serving of beer. Additional tickets will be available to purchase for just $2/ticket.
As usual, you can expect a handful of other surprises that will make this event truly one-of-a-kind, including some beautiful art on display featured by some of our local artists.
Attendees will be required to drink responsibly and plan their transportation to and from the event. All attendees must be 21+ or older to enter. All ticket sales are final.
Only 250 tickets available and the last event sold out in advance. Purchase your tickets today for the March 23rd event before it sells out again!
