Moontown is throwing its second annual Oktoberfest – a raucous celebration of the birthplace of dank beer complete with live music all day, friendly competitions,  the tapping of our Oktoberfest lager, and delicious German-inspired fare.

The 21 and up party will last all afternoon on Saturday, September 28th and will take over Moontown Brewing Company’s entire facility (brewpub, event space, and garden lawn).  We’ll be tapping our Oktoberfest lager, “Follow the Lederhosen” at 3pm with discounted Moontown beer ($5/pint!), German-inspired menu items, and live music all day from the DysFUNKtional Brass Band, Max Allen Band, and The North 41.  There will be a German Costume Contest, Stein-holding Competition, attendance Raffle Prizes, live accordion music and more! Space is limited to ticketed guests only, so grab those tickets now – this will be a day you don’t want to miss.

Early Bird: $15  (Limited quantities available through 09/18, or until we sell out.) 

General Admission: $2o

VIP: $50 (includes admission + one 2019 Oktoberfest tee-shirt, one 2019 Oktoberfest poster, a 16 oz. Moontown glass stein + 1 drink ticket for a free fill of beer. Limited quantities available.)

Sober Driver: $12 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: 

2:00 PM: Doors open with live music by DysFUNKtional Brass Brand. Food and beverages available to purchase.  We’ll have Cornhole and Bocce Ball in the garden – free to play and open to all guests.

3:00 PM: Welcome and official Oktoberfest beer tapping with head brewer, Cody Peczkowski and Bobby Mattingly.   Enjoy the passing of das boot and let the party begin! 

3:30 PM: Costume Contest: Dust off your dirndl and loosen your lederhosen!  We’re giving away a $50 gift card and a commemorative stein to the best dressed Frau and Fräulein at the party.  Open to all in attendance. 

4:00 – 7:00 PM: Max Allen Band performing in The 1915 Room.  Enjoy the unique blend of genres, intelligent lyrics, smoldering guitar work and a few tricks thrown in for good measure.  This trio is sure to keep you jamming all afternoon. 

7:15pm: Stein Holding Competition:  The ultimate feat of strength. Open to all who want to jump up and take their turn.  The last standing man and last standing woman holding their steins will each win a dank prize (details coming soon!) + a whole year of bragging rights.  You don’t want to miss this highlight of the day. 

8:00 – 11:00 PM: The North 41 brings down the house as they perform their dynamic and high-energy blend of rock, funk, and jazz to conclude the festive evening. 
FOOD AND BEVERAGE:

All Moontown beers will be discounted to $5 for this one day only!  Wine, liquor and non alcoholic beverages will also be available.

All food, beverage and merchandise sales will be made through tickets that can be purchased on site via cash or credit card.

Fischers Farm Beer Braised Brat with sauerkraut, and stone ground mustard 

Roasted Pork Tenderloin Slider with garlic butter aioli and grilled onions

Please note that space is limited for this event. Moontown’s brewpub will be closed to the public this entire day, and entry will be limited to ticket holders only.  There will be NO lunch service available in the brewpub prior to Oktoberfest’s 2pm start.
