Biére De Mars Description

Springtime brings revival to us at the Bloomington Brewing Co. Doors are thrown open and scents of a blossoming world greet us. We want a refreshing beer to drink along with it. Join us in the Brewpub at Lennie’s this Thursday, March 5th for the release party of our Biére De Mars, from 4-6pm. It will then be on tap until it’s gone.
With roots in Northern France, Biére de Mars is an offshoot of a style known as Biére de Garde, brewed in early spring, and then stored in cool places for consumption throughout the warm summer months. The Biére de Mars style is meant to be consumed immediately; as fresh as possible. You’ll soon see why.
The nose greets with aromas of sweet honey, peppercorn and tangerine. Light clove and banana blend with peppery spice returning as you drink. Tettnanger and Nugget hops develop a nice, earthy and floral flavor and a pleasant dry finish.
