Bier Brewery Wins Medal at the Great American Beer Festival®
GABF Silver medal is among the most coveted in the brewing world
Indianapolis, IN – Bier Brewery claimed a Silver medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is the largest national beer competition that recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States. The top three winners in the competition’s 90 beer-style categories were announced October 4 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

”We are very happy to be counted with the best breweries in the nation; Bier Brewery is committed to brewing the highest quality biers possible. Congratulations to our fellow Indiana breweries with strong showings this year.” Said Darren Connor, Head Brewer at Bier Brewery.
Bier Brewery was recognized in the Belgian-Style Abbey Ale beer-style category for its Sanitarium, a Belgian Quadruple ale. Sanitarium is only available to the public in December each year in special release hand-bottled 22oz bombers. Bier Brewery is a microbrewery in Indianapolis, IN that specializes in hand-crafted brews boasting over 90 different styles on their resume.

The 2014 GABF competition winners were selected by an international panel of 222 expert judges from the record number of 5,507 entries, plus 89 Pro-Am entries, received from 1,309 U.S. breweries.
“Once again the Great American Beer Festival brings the best of the best together in one place,” said Chris Swersey, competition manager. “At a time when American brewers offer so much variety, it’s a true honor to be recognized as one of the finest. Our greatest gratitude to the winners and all entrants whose innovative and outstanding beers help make this such an esteemed competition.”
