The local Arni’s Restaurant is celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary with a special and locally-brewed beer.
The People’s Brewing Company in Lafayette is brewing this Sgt. Bravo Pale Ale specially for Arni’s, said Lebanon Arni’s general manager Reagan LePage. Around 75 cases were brewed, and Arni’s restaurants in central Indiana — Lafayette, Lebanon, Frankfort, Indianapolis, Greenwood and Columbus — started serving it last week. How long it is served may depend on how well it does in the restaurants, LePage said.
“The customers who have tried it have liked it,” LePage added. “When a customer comes in and orders one, and then orders another one, I think that speaks for itself.”
The special edition beer is $4 a bottle, and proceeds from beer sales will benefit the Arni’s Care & Share Scholarship, a $500 scholarship awarded each year to an Arni’s employee. With these extra funds, LePage said, they hope to be able to increase the amount of the scholarship or possibly give out more than one this year…. CLICK HERE TO READ FULL STORY AT THE REPORTER
