Indiana On Tap, in partnership withHamilton County Tourism kicked off a five-month celebration of Indiana’s bicentennial at one of Hamilton County’s newest breweries: Deviate Brewing. The first of five Bicentennial Brews events, folks from all over the city gathered at the West 96th street brewery which has quickly made national news for it’s delicious beers made with often unconventional flavors (the Miso Corny ale, with miso and black peppercorns, is a favorite of mine).

With live music filling the air and beers filling our glasses, partygoers celebrated the start to what will sure be a fun series of events celebrating the great state of Indiana’s 200th birthday. Indiana has some of the best brewers around, I truly believe it, and what better way to celebrate that in conjunction with the Bicentennial than partying at one of the state’s newest and best breweries?

Beer wasn’t the only draw, though: Hamilton County Tourism was also stamping Bicentennial Brews Passports for anyone that brought them, automatically entering them for prizes like growlers and swag at the end of the night. If you missed out this time, be sure to bring your passport to February’s Bicentennial Brews event at the Sun King Fishers Brewery & Taproom to collect your stamp!

There’s a lot to celebrate about Indiana, and it’s 100+ breweries are certainly part of that, so come join us February 20th at Sun King Fishers and wish this place a happy 200th birthday!
