Press Release

BLOOMINGTON, IN: Bloomington Brewing Co. will celebrate American Craft Beer Week on Thursday, May 15, starting at 4 p.m. at the Bloomington Brewpub at Lennie’s.

From 4-6 p.m., guests can stop by to enjoy a unique preparation of 10-Speed Hoppy Wheat, as Brewer Nick Banks uses a “Hop Rocket” to infuse flavors of white chocolate and grilled pineapple through the beer.

The brewery will also offer an exclusive tapping of bourbon-barrel-aged Quarrymen Pale Ale, dry-hopped with Simcoe® and Cascade® hops.

From 4 p.m. until closing, guests can receive a free ounce of mosaic hops to use for their own homebrew recipes in celebration of American Craft Beer Week.

Lennie’s Chef, Fred Manion, will round out the party by offering a beer-centric menu of items all night that promise to pair well with some of Bloomington Brewing Co.’s more popular beers. Specials include:

  • Green Curry Noodle Bowl: Millers Farm chicken breast in a green curry coconut broth over lo mein noodles with cabbage, red peppers and broccoli.
  • Po’ Boy Sandwich: Cajun-spiced shrimp, house-smoked bacon, fried green tomatoes with mozzarella, lettuce, Dijon mayo and sourdough bâtarde with fries.
  • Key Lime Pie: Graham cracker crust, garnished with fresh mango, pineapple and kiwi.

The Bloomington Brewpub at Lennie’s is located at 1795 E 10th Street. Menu and more online at bloomingtonbrew.com.

###

Bloomington Brewing Company was established in 1994, after Co-founder and CEO Jeff Mease successfully lobbied the Indiana legislature to change Indiana alcoholic beverage laws that discouraged small breweries. Bloomington Brewing Co. was the fourth modern-era brewpub in the state and the first in Southern Indiana.
