Keurig and AB InBev Teaming Up for At-Home Beer, Cocktail Machine

Keurig and AB InBev have announced that they’re launching a joint venture to create a new home appliance that can produce beer, spirits, cocktails and mixers, according to a press release.

The product appears to still be in the research and development phase and there isn’t a known prototype yet.

It’s rumored that Keurig, best known for their widely popular single-cup coffee maker, will use technology from their recently extinct cold beverage maker, the Keurig Kold, which was originally designed to compete with SodaStream.

A development timeline has yet to be announced for the product. Nathaniel Davis, who currently serves as the global vice president of innovation and development for AB InBev, will lead the new venture as its CEO.
