Hummus and Craft Beer are two of my very favorite things, and when you put them together, it’s even better! This delectable dip is not only delicious, but it’s also extremely easy to make.

I decided to use Fountain Square Brewing Company’s “Hop for Teacher” American Pale Ale because its delightful hoppi-ness compliments the flavor of the jalapeno pepper so wonderfully. The APA brings out the true flavor of the pepper, so a little pepper goes along way (especially if you’re sensitive to spicy things).

However, if you love the flavor of the jalapeno and you want to add some extra heat, by all means, add another pepper (or maybe include some of the core as this is where most of the heat is held).
All in all, I think that anyone looking for a good recipe to share at a party full of craft beer lovers, this is one for the recipe books!

RECIPE AS FOLLOWS:
1 can chickpeas (drained)
1 jalapeno (cored, seeded, and chopped)
¼ cup chopped cilantro
1 clove garlic (sliced)
2 tbsp tahini (can substitute sesame seeds)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup Fountain Square Brewing “Hop for Teacher” APA

Open can of chickpeas and drain.

Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until smooth. If it isn’t as smooth as you would like it, add a little more olive oil or “Hop for Teacher” to taste/texture.
