Grocery Launch for Sun King:
You may have noticed that you can now purchase Sun King products at your local grocery or convenience store. 12-packs and 6-packs of 12 oz cans of Sunlight Cream Ale and Wee Mac Scottish are hitting shelves across Indiana.
Whoa, wait, you’ve always said to keep your beer cold!
Sunlight and Wee Mac are not pasteurized – instead we’ve made improvements in our processes, upgrades to our equipment, and used science to our advantage – all combined with over a year of trials to ensure that these beers will taste as good after sitting on the grocery shelf as they would if refrigerated! We still believe that beer is best refrigerated and encourage you to do so after purchasing.
Hey Sun King, why don’t I see Osiris Pale Ale in the mix?
Warm temperatures cause hop flavor to change rapidly, so we can’t guarantee that Osiris will hold up on a grocery shelf. The citrus flavor turns grassy in a very short time. That said, we will continue to work on it and try new technologies like hop oils that hold up to heat and can maintain flavor, so that one day Osiris can join Sunlight and Wee Mac at your local grocery and convenience store.

Gen Con 2016:
Gen Con comes but once a year, bringing the Best Four Days in Gaming to Indy!
To unofficially kick things off, Sun King will be tapping 20-Sided Rye, the Official Beer of Gen Con 2016, on Wednesday, August 3rd on the West Block of Georgia Street close to the Convention Center.
The party begins at 5pm with live music by the Water Street Bridge and The Way Down Wanderers. Sun King will be tapping 20-Sided Rye and will be featuring various Sun King seasonal and speciality beers.
The fun does not end there! We hope you will join us for a night of games during the Sun King Game Night on Thursday, August 4th. Compete in our infamous 20-Sided Die Rolling Contest for a chance to win a 4-day pass to Gen Con 2017, Sun King gift card, and other various prizes. New to this year, Sun King has partnered with Jenga Giant for the Jenga Giant Stacking Contest. Compete in teams up to 2 players and stack the tallest to win your very own Jenga Giant set, Sun King gift card and other prizes. $5 entry fee will be donated to the Gen Con 2016 charity partner The PourHouse.
4-packs of 20-Sided Rye are now available for purchase at both Sun King locations and local Indianapolis liquor stores. Growler fills are also available will supplies last!
CANvitational 2016:
The 4th Annual CANvitational is just a little over a month away. The Midwest’s Largest Canned Craft Beer Festival will feature 65 breweries from across American that CAN! Patrons will have the opportunity to sample from over 200+ beers from many breweries that do not have a presences in the Hoosier state.

Discounted GA tickets are available for $40 until August 13th. 100% of the event ticket proceeds will be donated to local not-for-profits from around Central Indiana. Summer of Sours Continues with Patio Smasher:
It’s a peach party in your mouth! Patio Smasher is an American Wild ale blended from seven casks and cocktails of wild yeasts and aged over a plentitude of peaches. ABV: 5.4% IBU: 20
This nectar of goodness can be purchased at both Sun King locations ( Fishers & Downtown Indy) on August 25th at noon

The Onyx Exchange will be coming back for a Pop Up Candle Bar on Sunday, August 31st at our downtown Indy brewery location. You can customize your own scented candle, just the way you like it.
Premier Paint Party will be getting crafty on Sunday, August 28th. Patrons will be instructed how to paint “LUNAR LILIES”, from a blank canvas to your finished masterpiece at this 2 hour Fun-Filled event at our downtown Indy brewery location.
New to Sun King, we will be launching a series of After School Specials on August 31st (6-8pm)! The first will feature an in-depth tour of Sun King Brewery with Sun King Co-Founders Clay Robinson and Dave Colt. This private tour will take you behind the scenes of the brewery process, Sun King history, 8 complimentary samples, take-home Sun King taster glass, and a Q&A session at the end of the event. Tickets are $40 each, you must be 21+ to attend.
Saturday Community Yoga with IndyYoga Votes benefitting League of Women Voters. Every Saturday at our downtown brewery location will have a 1-hour yoga flow session started at 10:30am. Save Your Tabs Challenge Ends:
It’s hard believe that summer is nearing an end! That means it’s time to conclude our spring/summer Save Your Tabs Challenge benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana.
You can turn your tabs on Saturday, August 13th. We will be collecting all of your tabs at our downtown Indy brewery location. In exchange, you will receive Sun King gift cards and we will turn all collected tabs to the Ronald McDonald House!
