Bier Brewery to Open Taproom in Carmel by October 2018

Offers: 1 Free Pint Glass with the Purchase of a Pint.Indianapolis, July 18, 2018: The successes of Bier Brewery in the marketplace and in competitions since their opening in 2010 have led inexorably to the opening of a second location. The new off site taproom at 13720 N. Meridian Street in Carmel is expected to be completed by the first of October and will build upon the accomplishments Bier Brewery has had at their north side Indianapolis taproom and production brewery.

Plans for an additional location have been in the works for more than a year, with the site at Meridian Village Plaza providing the perfect combination of location accessibility, parking, and quality retail partners. The storefront mall is easily reached from downtown Carmel from North Guilford Rd., from either direction on US 31, from the west along 136th Street, and north from 146th Street.

The 3500 sq. ft. taproom will double the space of the original Bier Brewery, and this will allow more seating, a larger stage area for live entertainment and a private party section. Puccini’s Smiling Teeth is located in the strip center and they, along with BoomBozz Pizza, will be important food partners for Bier. The new location will be family friendly.

Owner Jerry Connor says that the greatest opportunity for Bier with this new taproom is the chance to bring their award winning beers in draft form to a larger audience. Bier will recreate the relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the original taproom in the new space. The décor will be eclectic, as at the taproom at 65th Street, with a large chalk wall for artist and taproom manager Sarah Buschmann, and an expanded medal wall, which will display Bier Brewery’s achievements at state, regional, national, and international competitions.

It is the beer and the love of community that has driven Bier Brewery’s success to this point, and these features will continue to be paramount as they move forward. Co-owner and head brewer Darren Connor said, “As we grow, we will always remain focused on making beers of unsurpassed quality for our customers. We have the capacity to increase production and to add capacity when called for. The new taproom will allow us to make new friends – so drink up, we’ll make more.”
