RICHMOND, Ind. — A full-time cardiologist by day and a winery owner in the evening, Jeff Haist is man who likes to keep busy.He and his wife, Melody, own J&J Winery, a business in east-central Indiana that features locally made wines, brews and a café.
The story of how the winery got started dates back 45 years, to Haist’s childhood.

“I like to get my hands dirty. I’ve always like to grow things.”
Down the road, the Haist family settled down on a farm in the countryside. The soil wasn’t ideal for growing traditional row crops, so they tried planting grapes to make wine.
With an interest sparked in winemaking, Haist attended seminars at Purdue University and earned a winemaking certificate from an online program from University of California, Davis… CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL STORY AT AGRINEWS
