The highly debated Sunday alcohol sales bill is dead–at least for this session. The news was confirmed by the author of the bill, Rep. Tom Dermody, earlier this morning just moments before the House was scheduled to convene.
Dermody further confirmed that he didn’t have the minimum number of votes needed to move the bill to the Senate–due in part to restrictions in the manner in which alcohol could be sold at retailers.
Story developing.
