Cardinal Spirits Wins Three USA Today 10Best Awards For Spirits And Canned Cocktails

Bloomington, Ind. — Cardinal Spirits, the craft distillery in Bloomington, Ind., has been named USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award winners in three categories: Best Canned Cocktails, Best Craft Rum Distillery, and Best Craft Specialty Spirits Distillery.

  For the competition, USA Today taps a panel of spirits experts to nominate 20 alcohol producers in each category, then the public votes daily to determine the top 10 rankings.

  In the specialty spirits category, Cardinal Spirits is best known for its top-notch spirits made with real botanicals and fruit, including La Boîte American Amaro, Valencia Triple Sec, and Songbird Coffee Liqueur.

  Meanwhile, the distillery makes four varieties of popular canned cocktails: Bourbon Cream Soda, Maui Mule, Bramble Mule, and Vodka Soda.

  As for rums, Cardinal Spirits produces two: Tiki Rum, a light rum made from cane juice, light molasses, and deliciously fruity yeast, is one of the highest-rated craft rums in the country, with 92 points and a “Best Buy” rating from Wine Enthusiast. Lake House Spiced Rum is an earthy, dry rum with loads of citrus and subtle vanilla, crafted on a base of Tiki Rum.
