Paul Jenkins doesn’t drink beer, but he founded Veteran Beer Co. as more of a means to an end anyway.
Jenkins, a disabled Navy veteran from Chicago, was looking for a way to employ military veterans.
The 2-year-old beer company, which began brewing at Third Street Brewery in Cold Spring, Minn., recently began brewing at a second site, Stevens Point Brewing, and expanded its distribution to Milwaukee.
Veteran Beer Co. also has plans to work with Brew Detroit, where Kid Rock has a vanity brew, to cover the state of Michigan and northern Indiana.
