Scarlet Lane Brewing Co. Announces Partnership with Zink Distributing of Indianapolis

After just three months into their launch, Scarlet Lane has been overwhelmed with the support and demand for their portfolio of Northwest-influenced craft beers. Until Zink, they relied on just two people to handle all deliveries and draft tech. With the increased demand and commitment to customer service and beer quality, they felt the timing for a partnership with Zink was now.

“This allows us to focus our local distribution closer to home and with a smaller footprint, which has been our plan all along,” notes Doug Sheets, who is one of the owners who also focuses on sales, delivery, and line tech. “We don’t want to be a full-time distribution company and brewery. We want to focus on high quality beer with an efficient means to access the beer.”  

Scarlet Lane’s relationship with Zink started before the launch of of their brewery during a meeting with Zink’s Craft Brand Manager, Eric Fear in late 2013. 

“Zink shares the same goals as we do and they have the best customer service in the industry,” says Nick Servies, Scarlet Lane Co-Founder. “When selecting a partnership like this, you have to be 100% on board with the decision.” 

Zink has a high quality Craft portfolio that is expected to only get better. 

“They lacked in local craft beer and we hope to be an asset for the Zink Craft portfolio moving forward,” adds Eilise Lane, Scarlet Lane’s CEO and Brewer.  ”After consulting with the team and our mentors in the industry, the decision was quick and very comfortable.”

“Several things had to line-up for us to make sure this was right: No change in price to the customer, a high level of partnership between our two companies, and Eric Fear bringing donuts weekly,” says Sheets with a grin.

According to Servies, “Scarlet Lane is committed to customer service, product availability and overall craft quality. Zink allows us to focus our attention on engaging the customer at a higher level while working with our new partners to increase the quality and availability of our offerings.”
