Get excited beer drinkers — the Indianapolis area is getting another restaurant and bar with more than 100 beers on tap.

Yard House will open in the spring on the ground floor of Downtown’s Circle Centre mall. It will be on the south side of Maryland Street between Illinois and Meridian Streets.

Yard House is a modern public house where beer and food lovers can gather. The restaurant will feature more than 125 draft beer taps, including a rotating selection of seasonal and limited selections.

It will be the California-based chain’s first location in Indiana. Yard House has locations in 19 states and each restaurant features a custom beer list of local and regional brews, as well as the best drafts from around the country and the world.

Yard House has an expansive menu of American favorites. Food options will range from shareable snacks to burgers and fresh seafood.

The menu contains an entire line of vegetarian dishes made from Gardein, a chicken or beef substitute product. Meatless wings, sliders and even a BBQ “chicken” pizza round out this special diet menu.

And for meat eaters, there will be plenty of authentic burgers and steaks for you.

Craig Carlyle, president of Yard House, said the company chose the Indianapolis because “Circle Centre offers a great mix of retail and entertainment options and the close proximity to the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium makes it a perfect location for our restaurant.”

Yard House is the third Indy-area bar to open that has more than 100 taps. HopCat in Broad Ripple has 130 taps, and The Pint Room in Carmel has 108 on tap. Both opened this past summer.
