West Fork Whiskey Co. Welcomes Top Tier Management, Introduces Best-in-Industry Benefits to New Employees Ahead of HQ2 Grand Opening in Westfield

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 11, 2022

West Fork Whiskey Co. is growing its team as it prepares to open its 35,000 square-foot
agritourism distillery attraction in Westfield this summer. With a top tier management team in
place, West Fork is taking an innovative approach to hiring additional employees in the current
highly competitive labor market, offering all full-time employees above average wages, bonus
opportunities, paid vacation, and a full suite of benefits traditionally omitted for employees in the
production, hospitality and retail sectors.

“We’ve rethought each frontline position, creating an organization of valued ambassadors for our brand,” said Blake Jones, co-owner of West Fork. “To attract and retain committed, talented team members, we realized we also had to challenge the conventional compensation structures. We believe that these steps are going to not only improve the livelihoods of our employees, but also help build a West Fork family that will be part of the organization for years to come.” In addition to welcoming and seeking new employees for an array of positions, West Fork recently named Carlos Salazar as Executive Chef of the soon-to-open farm-to-table concept restaurant at the facility. Additionally, West Fork announces today that it has welcomed Megan Ray as Program Manager, Craig Rogers as Hospitality Manager, and Todd Tapp as Beverage Director, to help lead this charge.

Megan Ray, a native Hoosier, has worked in project management and the tourism industry for nine years. Previously at Newfields, she designed tours and established community partnerships with breweries and other cultural institutions. Megan’s passion for community was sparked during her time as a professional cheerleader with the Indianapolis Colts, where she was co-captain and community events coordinator for the cheer squad. Megan will lead event planning and on-site activations ranging from family-friendly festivals, community driven experiences, corporate retreats and more.

Craig Rogers brings more than ten years of restaurant industry experience to the West Fork team, having spent the majority of his career with some of the most prestigious independent restaurants in downtown Indianapolis. He worked his way into management roles quickly, which sparked his
love of the industry.

Todd Tapp, a three-year veteran of the West Fork team, is being promoted to Beverage Director. Pulling from his decade in the industry, Todd will lead the development of West Fork’s hand crafted, world-class cocktail programs. Todd honed his skills in a diverse range of local Indy staples including the original Libertine, Good Fellas’ Wise Guy Lounge, and Livery.
