Round Town Brewery to Host Inaugural ‘Blood, Sweat, and Beers’ Craft Beer Olympics on May 5th

For Immediate Release: (Indianapolis, IN) – Round Town Brewery of Indianapolis, in partnership with Indiana On Tap, is excited to announce the date and details for “Blood, Sweat, and Beers” Craft Beer Fest. This first year event will feature unlimited tastings from 12 – 15 Indiana breweries and distilleries and will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 1pm – 5pm.

The event will take place in the large outdoor lot directly in front of Round Town Brewery at 950 S White River Pkwy W. Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46221.

In addition to the great, unlimited beer and spirits, the event will feature multiple beer-themed competitions in a ‘Beer Olympics’ style format. All attendees will have the option to participate as individuals in these competitions for a chance to earn a spot on the podium and win prizes. Competitions include (but aren’t limited to) beer pong, flippy cup relay, cornhole, hula-hoop keg toss, and many more.

Round Town Brewery challenges you to come put your craft beer athleticism and intelligence to the test.

“The idea for this event goes all the way back to when I was writing Round Town’s business plan in 2013,” shared owner Max Schenk. “Not only is it something unique for an event and for Indianapolis, but we’re also equally excited for our own staff to compete in the competitions as well.”

Participating breweries at the event will also have the option to compete in select competitions for a chance to win gold for their brewery.

Opening ceremonies will commence at 1pm and closing ceremonies (last call) will close the event at 4:45pm.

All attendees will also have the opportunity to enter Round Town Brewery during the event for specialty beer releases brewed specifically for this event and to be announced soon.

“We can think of no better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo,” added Indiana On Tap Managing Partner Steve Williams. “May 5th is also the same date as the Indy Mini-Marathon, so we’re excited to partner with Round Town to offer a post-race event to all the local and visiting runners as well.”
