14 Mar New Albany’s First Barrel of Bourbon Kicks Off Fun Family-Friendly Event at Donum Dei
For Immediate Release
New Albany, Indiana – Donum Dei Brewstillery is hosting its annual Drunken Unicorn release event and celebrating their fourth anniversary March 17, 2019. Those looking to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day at a lively, family-friendly local pub will enjoy festivities including an Irish breakfast with a Bloody Mary bar, the annual Drunken Unicorn release, a special opportunity to sign the first barrel of bourbon distilled and aged in New Albany, a barbeque lunch hosted by Carr’s BBQ, and a very limited release of Donum Dei’s Distiller’s Select Barrel-Proof Single Malt Whiskey.
Drunken Unicorn is Donum Dei’s famous bourbon barrel-aged strong scotch ale released only on Saint Patrick’s Day of every year. This year’s Drunken Unicorn is Donum Dei’s most limited release – only one barrel of the drink was aged for the 2019 vintage. Widely known for its extraordinary mouthfeel and distinct flavor, Drunken Unicorn is Donum Dei’s most unique beer and is sold only in 22-ounce bottles.
To celebrate the barreling of the first bourbon ever distilled and aged in New Albany, Donum Dei is encouraging patrons to sign New Albany’s first barrel of bourbon before it begins aging. Donum Dei Brewstillery is proud to make history by being New Albany’s first bourbon manufacturer and the first local option for bourbon lovers in its community.
For the first time, Donum Dei Brewstillery is releasing a very limited amount of its famous whiskey bottled at barrel strength. Bottles will be signed by Richard Otey, owner and master distiller of Donum Dei. Fans of Donum Dei’s famous single malt whiskey will appreciate this incredibly rare opportunity to enjoy the drink as if it was being poured directly out of the barrel in which it was aged.
Festivities will begin March 17, 2019 at 7:00 am with a $4.95 Irish-style breakfast and will end at 11:00 pm. Carr’s BBQ will cater lunch. For further information, contact Richard Otey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
