MillerCoors Volunteers Clean Up Dunes With Beer In Mind

Justin Bailey scoured West Beach for trash Friday morning with his MillerCoors colleagues with good beer in mind.

“It’s really important for us to be able to give back to the community with clean ups like this, but we’re also concerned about the environment and lakes because water is so important to our beers,” which are 90 to 95 percent water, Bailey said.

Bailey was one of 40 employees of MillerCoors in Chicago who came to West Beach at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Friday morning for a Great Lakes Action Day coordinated by The Shedd Aquarium.

MillerCoors employees participate in projects nationwide each September aimed at protecting local water resources and promoting water stewardship.
