07 Sep Like Craft Beer? Have we got a class (on glass) for you!
When: Tuesday, Sept. 16th at 6:30pm
Where: Vine and Table (313 E Carmel Dr, Carmel, IN 46032)
Travel the world and you’ll find different cultures drinking their local brews from a variety of glasses. The Belgians sup their potent ales from smaller, tulip-shaped vessels, while the Czechs and Germans down their Pils in tall, shapely glasses. You may wonder- does the glass shape really have an influence on how the beer tastes? You can find out for yourself on Tuesday, September 16, at 6:30 pm as Vine & Table hosts a Spiegelau Craft Beer Tasting Event.
For just $25 per person, you’ll receive Spiegelau’s IPA glass, tall Pilsener glass, wheat beer glass, and Belgian tulip glass to use during the tasting and, better yet, to take home afterwards. These glasses, a $50 value, will be filled with Bell’s Two Hearted IPA, Upland Wheat, Ayinger Oktoberfest, and Boulevard Sixth Glass Quadrupel for a side-by-side comparison of how their shapes give the drinker a perfect quaff.
The tasting will be led by Spiegelau glass expert Julio Ruiz, Charles Fry, member of the World Class Beer Network, and V&T’s own beer buyer, Dave Helt. In addition to the glasses and the beer, we’ll put out a spread of appetizers for your enjoyment. Seating is limited to 45 participants, so be sure to book your place now!
