For Immediate Release — It’ll soon be that time of year when people of the Midwest start thinking about water. We flock to lakes and rivers, rent cabins, pitch tents, and some of us get invited to a lake house. The fortunate few actually own one.
Our upcoming release is a celebration of all things landlocked – namely lakes and the people who frequent them.
Introducing our newest dark spirit, Lake House Spiced Rum.
Fact: Indiana has had ZERO shark deaths since statehood in 1816. And we’ve had very little piracy since the decline of river pirates in the mid 1800s. We can proudly attribute these records to our lack of ocean connectivity. Landlocked and proud of it.
Fact: This rum took us most of the first part of this year to make. We went through a lot of trial batches. A lot. Cases of Ball jars. Multiple versions of each recipe. The winner is a perfect balance of fresh citrus peel and organic whole spices like vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. We also use a secret botanical ingredient that ties everything together, and balances this rum like nothing else on the market.
Lake House Spiced Rum will be available at the distillery starting Friday 4/29 at Noon.
