Irvington BrewFest to Help Kick Off Fall Festival Season on September 23rd

by Andy Kretchek for Indiana On Tap

It’s that time of year. Soon the weather will be changing and it will bring all kinds of Fall festivals around Indy. The Irvington BrewFest is the event to kick off the season. My wife and I have been to this event many times, and have never been disappointed. Considering the few changes they’ve made for this year’s event, it is shaping up to be the best yet.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 23rd in the Our Lady of Lourdes parking lot (5333 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46219) starting at 7 pm. This year the BrewFest has added more breweries and more tented areas. Sun King, Black Acre, Fountain Square, St. Joseph, Metazoa, Bier, and Ash & Elm will all be there serving up samples. The best part of this event is that it’s only $20 per person and all of the proceeds will be going back to the church community. Each ticket holder will receive a swag bag that includes an Irvington BrewFest 2017 pint glass, a passport that will help you keep track of the beers and ciders, and a couple other surprises.

The Irvington BrewFest is more than just beer and cider tasting. Audio Diner will be rocking it out under one of the tents for your listening pleasure. Need to grab a bite to eat? La Mexi-Gringa and NY Slice will be there dishing out Mexican fare and New York style pizza.

This year, the Our Lady of Lourdes Fall Festival will be held the weekend after the BrewFest, when in previous years it has been held on the same weekend. This will allow more room for parking and the expansion of tents. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at IrvingtonbrewFest.org. You can also enter for a chance to win free tickets at DO317.com. Come out to the Irvington BrewFest on the 23rd and enjoy some great beer/cider, music, and food.
