In Case You Missed It: Now You Can Enjoy Beer Ice Cream Without the Booze

Artisan ice cream meets craft beer, all thanks to the intrepid Victory Brewing Company in Downington, PA. They’ve been making and dishing up several food products in their restaurant for a while, but now you can take home and enjoy pints in three of their ice cream flavors. And you know what that means. Yes, we’re saying go ahead and dig in with a spoon, bowl be damned.

Unlike other booze-inspired ice creams, Victory makes theirs with wort, not the actual beer. According to Victory, wort is:

a naturally sweet and non-alcoholic liquid that combines the finest malted barley with local Brandywine water. It is harvested fresh from Victory’s brew kettle before the hops and yeast are added, providing the familiar and deeply satisfying flavors reminiscent of our brews, without the buzz.”

It’s available in three flavors: Triple Monkey (banana, caramel, peanuts with wort from their Golden Monkey), Hopped Up Devil (cayenne, cinnamon, chocolate-covered coffee beans with wort from their HopDevil), and Storm King Crunch (chocolate and malted milk balls with wort from their Storm King Stout). Just because these ice creams aren’t boozy doesn’t mean you can’t doctor them up with some actual Victory brew for an epic line-up of beer floats. Actually, we encourage it.
