Old Hamer whiskey family becomes most awarded family of Indiana bourbons

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis-based craft whiskey distillery West Fork Whiskey Co. today announces it has earned 11 awards across three international spirits competitions in 2021, in addition to earning a “Best Buy” 90 points rating by Wine Enthusiast. All accolades belong to the distillery’s Old Hamer products, a historic Indiana brand that was resurrected by West Fork in 2019 after nearly 200 years, in an effort to keep Indiana’s rich distilling history alive.
“Indiana bourbon is becoming more recognized by spirits enthusiasts on a global level and we are honored to be included among esteemed, well-known and established brands at these international competitions,” said Blake Jones, co-owner of West Fork. “Seeing our Old Hamer products so widely recognized is a huge step forward in ensuring we preserve and promote Indiana’s distilling history, and sharing Indiana bourbon with the rest of the world.”
